Forms and quizzes
On this page
Forms turn visitors into leads. Every form answer is saved in your Inbox, and you can be notified by email or Telegram the moment it arrives.
Add a contact form
- In the editor, select the section after which the form should appear.
- Open the Add tab and, under Forms, click:
- Contact form: a classic form with all fields at once; or
- Onboarding form (step by step): one question at a time with a progress bar.
- The form section is added with sample fields. Click it to edit.
You can also put a form inside a popup. See Pages and popups.
Form settings
Select the form and open Content:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| What the form collects | Inquiries (go to the inbox) or Newsletter sign-ups (go to subscribers). |
| How the form is shown | All fields at once or Step by step (onboarding). |
| Submit button text | The text on the send button. |
| Note below the form | Small text under the form, for example how quickly you reply. |
| Consent text (checkbox) | If you fill it in, visitors must tick a checkbox with this text before sending (for example agreeing to your privacy policy). Leave empty for no checkbox. |
| Title after sending / Message after sending | What visitors see after they send the form. |
| Button after sending (empty = no button) | For example Send another inquiry. |
| Animation after sending | Checkmark + confetti, Checkmark only or No animation. |
| Show the after-sending message in the preview (editor only) | Turn on to see and edit the thank-you screen in the preview. Visitors are not affected. |
Form fields
Under Form fields, click Add item to add a field, drag to reorder, and use Duplicate, Hide or Delete.
Each field has:
- Field name: the label visitors see, for example Your email.
- Key (optional, made from the field name): an internal name. Three keys have a special meaning:
email: the field with this key is used to reply to the client, and it is required for newsletter sign-ups;name: shown as the person's name in your inbox;phone: gives you a Call client button in the inbox.
- Field type (see below).
- Help text below the field (optional).
- Required field: visitors cannot send the form without it.
- Width: Half row or Full row.
- Answers (one per line): for dropdowns and choice cards.
- Starts a new step (step-by-step forms).
Field types
| Type | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Text | Names, company, short answers. |
| Email addresses (checked for a valid format). | |
| Phone | Phone numbers. With the key phone, the inbox shows a Call client button. |
| Number | Quantities, budgets. |
| Date | A preferred date, an event date. |
| Long text | The message. |
| Dropdown | One choice from a list. |
| Choice cards (one answer) | Big clickable cards, one answer. Great for step-by-step forms. |
| Choice cards (several answers) | Clickable cards where visitors can pick more than one. |
Step-by-step (onboarding) forms
A step-by-step form asks one thing at a time, which feels easier and usually gets more answers.
- Set How the form is shown to Step by step (onboarding) (or add the Onboarding form (step by step) from the Add tab, which is already set up).
- On the first field of each new step, turn on Starts a new step. All following fields belong to that step until the next field that starts a step.
- Use Choice cards for questions like What do you need? or What is your budget?, and put the contact fields (name, email) in the last step.
Visitors see a progress bar and can go back to earlier steps.
Newsletter sign-ups
Set What the form collects to Newsletter sign-ups (go to subscribers). Each sign-up appears under Subscribers in the inbox (the same email address is saved only once). Keep a field with the key email; a name field is optional.
You can export subscribers to CSV and import them into your newsletter tool. See Inbox.
Quizzes
The Quiz section asks visitors a few questions and shows them a result, for example Which package fits you?.
- In the Add tab, under Ready-made sections, click Quiz.
- Under Questions, add each question with an optional small label (for example Question 01) and the Answers (one per line).
- Under Results, add one result per possible outcome, with a Result title and Description.
- Set the Button after the result and where it links to, usually your contact form (
#contact) or a popup. - Optionally change the “Previous question” text and “Start again” text.
How results are chosen: answers are matched to results by their position. The first answer of each question leads to the first result, the second answer to the second result, and so on. Write your answers in the same order as your results.
Quiz answers in your inbox
If a visitor takes the quiz and then sends a contact form on the same page, the inquiry includes the Quiz answers and the Result they got. That way you know what the lead needs before you reply.
Tip: put the contact form right after the quiz and point the quiz button to it (
#contact). The Quiz / lead generation template is built exactly like this.
Where answers go
- Inquiries go to your Inbox and to the site's Inquiries page.
- Sign-ups go to Subscribers in the inbox.
- If you set up Email settings, the people you choose get an email for every inquiry, and the visitor can get an automatic reply.
- On plans with instant notifications you can also get each inquiry on Telegram (Account → Notifications).
Inquiries are always saved in the inbox, even if an email notification does not arrive. The number of inquiries per month depends on your plan; see Inbox for what happens over the limit.
